Catalyst is EnergyCAP’s national user training conference. It will be held April 28–30, 2020 in State College, PA and offers three days of seminar-based training on our award-winning EnergyCAP software.

Network with other users in your niche. One of the biggest values of Catalyst is the opportunity to share issues and questions with colleagues at similar organizations and to hear about their solutions.

Attend the professional development sessions on Thursday morning and become more self aware.
Each day of Catalyst, lunch will be provided, along with a morning (9:00–11:00 AM) and afternoon (2:00–4:00 PM) snack service. Hot and cold beverages are available 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. All attendees are invited to Tuesday evening’s Dinner and Casino Night. Register to attend the faith-based breakfast Wednesday morning. Wednesday evening, take the Molly Trolley (a complimentary shuttle bus) to explore downtown State College.
Back by popular demand, this daily early-morning moderate intensity workout is held at The Penn Stater hotel and is open to all Catalyst attendees. Class size is limited, so reserve your spot when you complete your Catalyst registration.
The Mastery of EnergyCAP Fundamentals Certification Exam will be offered at Catalyst 2020. Successfully achieving the certification will confirm your understanding of and ability to effectively use EnergyCAP’s core functionality. Certification also represents a measured value to employers, and continuing education units (1.3 CEUs) are awarded upon successful certification.
Candidates can prepare for the certification exam through the following methods:
Candidates will need to achieve a score of 80% or higher to pass the Certification Exam.
Successfully achieving the certification will confirm your understanding of and ability to effectively use EnergyCAP’s core functionality. Certification also represents a measured value to employers, and continuing education units (CEUs) are awarded upon successful certification.
Individuals who successfully pass the exam will receive the following:
Your employer will benefit from having an employee who has recognized proficiency and actively pursues professional development in a job-related skill. An EnergyCAP certified employee can be relied on to efficiently use, train others to use EnergyCAP, and make or assist with decisions related to organization’s on-going pursuit of energy and operational efficiency.
The computer-based exam will consist of multiple-choice questions that can be answered by accessing a provided EnergyCAP test database. Additional information about the exam format will be provided via the training materials provided by ECI to each registrant.
Candidates are required to bring a laptop computer that is capable of accessing the internet and the ECI-provided EnergyCAP Version 7 test database. Computers will not be provided for candidate use. Candidates may bring, snacks, drinks, calculator, and a timer.
The certification exam and the live review session will occur at Catalyst 2020 in State College, PA on April 30, 2020 at 1:00–3:00 PM ET.
Candidates will be notified of final test scores immediately following the exam session.
EnergyCAP is dedicated to ensuring that candidates successfully pass the certification exam. Candidates who do not achieve a passing score will be provided feedback to identify areas where additional knowledge and understanding of EnergyCAP is needed. Additional opportunities to take the exam in the future are expected but not yet scheduled.
